How to keep track of job applications

A useful application record should tell you where you applied, what role it was for, when it was submitted and what information was sent.

Once you are applying to several companies, it is easy to forget which version of your CV was used or whether a vacancy is still active. Keeping the key information together makes it much easier to respond when an employer gets back to you.

What to record

  • Employer and job title
  • Location and source of the vacancy
  • Date the application was submitted
  • Current application status
  • The CV version used
  • A link to the role when available
  • Screenshot proof or another record of submission

Why CV records matter

If you tailored a CV for the role, the employer may ask about wording that was specific to that application. Keeping the exact version connected to the job means you can look at it before an interview or follow-up call.

Tracking your application balance

When you buy an application package, your dashboard also shows how many applications remain. If you need more, you can top up from the same account and the new applications are added to your balance.
